Job Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Zscaler Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our client’s cloud security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange platform and hold an active US Government Secret security clearance.  This position is 100% onsite at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement Zscaler solutions across multiple government and corporate environments
  • Configure and maintain security policies within Zscaler platform components including:
    • Zero Trust Exchange
    • Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
    • Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
    • Cloud Firewall
  • Manage SSL inspection policies and certificate management
  • Develop and maintain security policies aligned with NIST 800-53 and DISA STIGs
  • Perform threat hunting and incident response using Zscaler tools
  • Create and maintain documentation for security configurations and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • 10+ years of work experience
  • Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator
  • Active Secret Security clearance required
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network security concepts
  • Experience with:
    • Cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • Identity and access management solutions
    • SSL/TLS protocols and PKI infrastructure
    • Network security tools and frameworks
    • Security information and event management (SIEM) platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certifications
  • Experience with FedRAMP compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of CMMC 2.0 framework
  • Familiarity with government security requirements and processes
  • Previous experience working with Air Force or DoD networks
