Job Overview & Responsibilities

The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for supporting the product sales organization in their day to day administrative activities.  This position will build actionable proposals and quotes for customers, ensuring that internal reporting and CRM systems are up to date and support marketing and demand generation activities to assist in generating new pipeline.  The Sales Development Representative will contribute to the company’s sales goals by following the processes and procedures necessary to support a transaction in a timely and effective manner, leveraging the internal sales tools and engaging with internal resources as needed. Utilizing internal and external resources to learn about Oracle products, product updates, service offerings and new technologies are important foundations of this role.  This position will be operating out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to Infrastructure and Open-Source sales reps including but not limited to; creating approval documentation and written justifications, quote and proposal development, creating, managing, and updating Mythics CRM system and deal/opportunity processing.
  • Enter, update and maintain accurate and current data in Mythics CRM System with regards to opportunities, products, forecast percentage and other important information.
  • Process product related orders within Mythics CRM system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain updated, organized files on all accounts in the assigned territory.
  • Create and link future product renewals in Mythics CRM System once the current product related opportunity is processed.
  • Provide Business Development support, by making outbound calls and sending emails to new and existing customers/accounts in support of call campaigns and marketing events as assigned by management.
  • Generate reports as requested out of Mythics Sales Portal and/or CRM system.
  • Develop an understanding of Mythics process from lead identification through deal closure and processing to ensure you are supporting opportunities effectively.
  • Complete assigned training in territory and leverage training to fulfill assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Aid the sales team in creating customized proposals to meet customer requirements in support of Mythics Infrastructure and Open-Source Sales team across all verticals (Federal, State, Local, Higher Education and Commercial).
  • Provide additional information and proactive follow up to the appropriate sales personnel.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; some college desired. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years of sales or customer service experience.
  • Experience working with MS Office applications, including Word & Excel

  • Ability to prioritize and organize competing priorities with minimal guidance and supervision.

  • Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner verbally and in writing.
