Job Overview & Responsibilities

The Account Representative 2 for multivendor renewals is responsible for maintaining and growing recurring software and hardware revenue across a portfolio of dedicated OEM partners within assigned Federal territories. In this role, you will focus exclusively on renewing existing software contracts, ensuring timely renewals, maintaining strong customer relationships, and identifying upsell or cross-sell opportunities within current accounts. The Renewal Representative handles quoting, processing and managing the sales cycle for renewals. This role builds actionable quotes for customers in advance of their renewal dates, ensuring that internal reporting and CRM systems are up to date. Additionally, you will maintain and provide an accurate forecast to management with an understanding of the customer procurement process and the growth opportunities within existing accounts.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Manage the full renewal lifecycle for software and support agreements across assigned accounts.
  • Prepare quotes at the direction of the Sr Account Managers.
  • Proactively engage customers ahead of renewal dates to ensure continuity of service and avoid lapses in coverage as well as understand current deployment, future growth opportunities and procurement process to renew.
  • Engage with internal resources as needed to engage and assist customers with ensuring adoption and success.
  • Manage the entire renewal sales lifecycle: pipeline development, forecasting, quote preparation, closing opportunities including booking and tracking opportunities and invoices.
  • Process renewals related orders within Emergent CRM system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with OEM partners and internal teams to generate renewal quotes and address any contract modifications.
  • Review customer usage as needed, entitlements, and account history to identify potential upsell or expansion opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for renewal-related questions, pricing, and procurement concerns.
  • Maintain strong relationships with procurement, IT, and contract teams to facilitate seamless renewals.
  • Track contract dates and ensure compliance with terms and service-level agreements.
  • Coordinate internally with business operations, legal, and finance teams to resolve any contract or billing issues.
  • Meet or exceed assigned renewal quotas and customer retention targets.
  • Backup other team members as needed.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field—or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in software sales, renewals, or account management, preferably in the Federal sectors is preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting renewal or retention goals in sales experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and deadline management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Customer-first mindset with consultative approach.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and contract vehicles (e.g., SEWP, GSA, NASA SEWP) is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and manage high volumes of renewal activity.
  • Analytical thinking and basic financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms, Salesforce preferred.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or within a team.
