Job Overview & Responsibilities

The Lead MuleSoft Developer/Administrator is responsible for designing, developing, managing, and optimizing API integrations using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform. This role plays a critical part in building scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations that connect enterprise systems and drive operational efficiency.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Design and develop integrations and APIs using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform to support enterprise data flows and system connectivity.
  • Administer and maintain MuleSoft environments to ensure API reliability, security, performance, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues by analyzing logs, monitoring workloads, and identifying system-level root causes.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of APIs, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure integrations are built following best practices for performance, reusability, error handling, and security standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support integrations with Salesforce Data360 (Data Cloud), NetSuite, and other business-critical systems.
  • Monitor integration performance and proactively identify areas for optimization or refactoring.
  • Maintain documentation for APIs, integrations, system configurations, and deployment procedures.
  • Support governance and version-control processes for deployment, release management, and API updates.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for integration failures and recommend long-term corrective solutions.
  • Ensure integrations align with enterprise architecture standards and organizational scalability needs.
  • Assist with data synchronization initiatives to improve accuracy and consistency across enterprise systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and best-practice recommendations to internal teams on API and integration design.
  • Stay current on MuleSoft platform enhancements, integration trends, and related technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support integrations and data flows with UltiPro, Concur, JIRA, Tableau, and other enterprise tools as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience developing integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or other market leading middleware platform.
  • 2+ years’ experience with SalesForce Data360 (formerly Data Cloud).
  • Experience with NetSuite UKG, Concur, JIRA and Tableau a preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSAs):

  • Deep knowledge of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and core API integration principles.
  • Strong understanding of API design, RESTful architecture, and integration best practices.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex system, data, and integration issues.
  • Understanding of enterprise systems architecture and how data flows across connected platforms.
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills to solve complex system, data, and process issues with minimal oversight.
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues, improve processes, and support the organization.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
